The novel follows three main characters: Jason Grace, Piper McLean, and Leo Valdez.

These teenagers wake up on a school bus with no memory of their pasts or how they got there.

They soon discover they are demigods, children of Greek and Roman gods, and they are taken to Camp Half-Blood, a haven for demigods.

As they settle into camp life, they learn of a prophecy that foretells the rise of a new hero who will save the gods and the world from destruction.

The prophecy is tied to a missing demigod named Percy Jackson.

Jason, Piper, and Leo embark on a quest to rescue Hera, queen of the gods, who has been captured.

Along the way, they encounter monsters, gods, and ancient forces.

Their journey leads them to revelations about their own pasts and the looming threat of Gaea, the primordial goddess of the Earth, who seeks to overthrow the gods.

“The Lost Hero” is a tale of adventure, friendship, and self-discovery as these demigods strive to fulfill their destinies and prevent a catastrophic war among the gods.
